This game is similar to Warcraft 3: DotA, but in my humble opinion MUCH MUCH better.

The game evolves lots of teamwork, it also has RPG elements. You start a game with a Champion and fight other enemy champions in a 5v5 fight. During the game u level up your champion and buy items from the gold u received from killing monsters and/or killing player. Like KO it has a pay feature if u'd like to buy more diverse champions and skins, but if u play enough anyways u can unlock them yourself.

Just like the server merge, this is not really relevant to USKO, but works perfectly as a proof of concept.
JPKO has launched a "Beginner Zone" which is a zone shared between servers. It uses a feature that has been neglected until now (or maybe JPKO used it before I started playing there): the ability to redirect the client to a different server without exiting. When you select the "Beginner Zone" from the warp gate, you are automatically relogged to a special server that accepts players from all of the normal servers. You can see the name of the server each character comes from by the writing above their heads.

The main feature in this server is to bring beginner players together for more interactivity. It also offers a 200% EXP event and free rentals. The server is only open to level 1~59 players. (However, characters who are already level 60 or higher are now eligible for a one-time bonus of rental gear that lasts for 90 days.) The Beginner Zone is meant to be an EXP server, similarly to the 2nd servers in USKO. Therefore, many features are disabled, including the inn, familiars, Monster Stones, clan features, events and PvP zones.

My speculation about this feature is that JPKO is thinning in population (which also explains the server merge). As beginning players are less likely to find company in 3 different servers, they now have this common zone to help them both level up and make friends.

The Chaos Expansion is coming out soon. It is confirmed to have the following features:
- Lots and lots of misspelling and bad grammar
- The mining mini-game
- The namesake event, Chaos Dungeon
- Wings
- Krowaz armor
- Quest update for levels 1~60
- Jewelry crafting NPC
- Target direction indicator
- Resized loot boxes
- Unified solo Monster Stones, which seem to be working now
- Helmet invisibility toggle
- Skill bar expand and lock button
- Rivalry system
- Chaos Summoning Stone that summons bosses when killed


The site has been updated to reflect the current state of the expansion.

Although most of you won't be interested in this, JPKO is merging two servers soon. I have chosen this opportunity to show the details of how a real server merge is done, including any complications (such as duplicate names).

The following is taken from http://knight.mgame.jp/event/integration/, the special site created for this occasion.

On 3 Dec 2009, Knight Online Xross is merging the Ron and Smite servers. This is done according to user feedback, to bring a more enjoyable environment to players.
The server doesn't have a name yet, the name will be chosen through competition. You can enter the competition through the page mentioned above.

1. Characters
If two characters have the same name, they will be reset to random names and you will have an option of changing its name when first logging in.

2. Nation
If your account has different nation on the two servers, the nation of the merged server is determined by the highest level character you had. If both servers have characters of equal levels, experience and other factors will be considered.

3. Maximum number of characters
If you have more than 3 characters in total on the two servers, only the 3 with the highest level will be migrated. The remaining characters are lost forever.

4. Items
Items in characters' inventories and equipment will be transferred intact. However, any items attached to deleted characters are lost. The inn is capable of holding only 192 items and 21 billion Noahs. If the sum of Noahs in the two servers' inns exceeds the limit, it will be reduced to 21 billion Noahs. If the total number of items exceeds the limit, the excess items are lost. In this regard, items on Ron have higher priority than items on Smite.

5. King
The king of the server will be the then-current king of the Ron server until the end of December (when the next election is held).

6. Treasury
The amount of Noahs in treasury will be determined based on the difference between the two servers.

7. Delos Castle and taxes
These will be determined during the first CSW on the merged server (6 Dec 2009).

8. Letters
Letters cannot be sent for a time period before the merge. Any unclaimed letters are lost.

9. Item Rentals
The item rental system will be temporarily put offline 2 weeks before the merge as to avoid any conflicts.

10. Clans
Clan names, capes, clan points, grades and alliances are carried over.

11. Friend list
Friend list is reset after the merge.

12. Disbanding small clans
Clans with less than 5 members will be disbanded.

13. Newcomer clans
The newcomer clans ("☆EL新キャライダー☆" and "☆KA新キャライダー☆") will be merged.

According to a file in USKO Patch #1753, the game might eventually get support for the Turkish language. At the bottom of the page you can find the texts "Language", "English" and "Turkish".

The same file also implies that the "Chaos" event will retain this name when it is released in USKO.

Note that this is only speculation. MGAME has a history of leaving defunct or never-released data in the data tables.
